Message from the Congress Chairs

Dear All,

Welcome to the site for the 6th European Congress of Qualitative Inquiry!

As Congress Chairs, we are pleased to introduce you to this website which provides all the information you need on: the congress theme; submitting an abstract, keynotes and workshops, fees and registration, draft programme and information about Portsmouth and the University. The congress theme is ‘Qualitative Inquiry in the Anthropocene: Affirmative and generative possibilities for (Post)Anthropocentric futures’.

The face to face congress will be held at the University of Portsmouth in the UK. This will include pre-congress workshops and a wine reception on the 10th January 2023. The main congress will be between 11th – 13th January 2023. We welcome the following types of abstract submissions: game changers, individual papers, individual posters, dream team/workshops.

There will be a separate hybrid strand consisting of two 90 minutes online sessions where 5 x 10 minute papers can be presented with time for discussions  Comment start (although the number of sessions may be increased depending on the number of abstracts submitted). The sessions will be in November and December (dates to be confirmed). We will live stream (and record) the keynote sessions and provide these and presentation recordings on an online (password protected) page. There also will be an option to submit a poster to be digitised and made available to online participants.

We look forward to seeing many of you in Portsmouth or online!
